The Premier Horseback Riding Summer Camp for the Houston and Pearland Areas
Unlike many summer horse camps in the Houston, Pearland, & Alvin areas, our goal is not to entertain and babysit your children. So throw away those horse coloring books and movies provided at many horseback riding summer camps; we are here to learn about horseback riding, have fun, and above all RIDE HORSES.
The Sundance Ranch Horseback riding summer camp is located in Manvel, just a few miles from Pearland, Alvin, and Houston and takes place on an actual working ranch. Situated in the middle of this ranch are our stables where riders from all around Houston ride and board their horses. Your children will spend their time with our dedicated and expert staff members and ride actual working ranch horses. We offer lesson horses that have been selected for their gentle personalities. Our lesson horses can accommodate riders with varying degrees of ages and experience levels.

What Makes our Summer Horse Camp Different?
Saddle Time Your child or teenager will spend 70% of his summer camp time with
his/her horse. (Compare to 25-50% at most camps)
Student to Instructor Ratio We boast the best student to instructor ration in the Houston area; averaging one instructor for every four students
Our Facilities No horseback riding around in circles in a small arena to the sound of city traffic. Our Summmer Horse Camp is nestled amongst hundreds of acres of woods,with miles of trails, lakes, streams, and wildlife.
Fun comes first! Teaching youngsters how to ride horses is our full time job!. Our students spend their summer camp days playing
games on horseback, and if qualified, they may work with cattle, run the barrel pattern, jump, or run the obstacle course.
Thrilling Thursdays On the last day of camp students paint and decorate their horse in preparation for the big event. Parents are invited to join us as our children show off their new found horseback riding skills at the Summer Camp Horse Show. While only one camper receives the coveted blue ribbon, every horseback rider receives a ribbon as a keepsake of their special summer!
Safety Our unsurpassed student to instructor ratio, combined with a unique blend of horses for all horseback riding skill levels has enabled us to achieve an excellent safety record. Each horseback riding student is evaluated directly by the summer camp director Dorothy Wynne who considers their age, skill level, experience, confidence, and size to determining the appropriate horse.
And the horse that is paired with your child will be his/her own horse for the entire week of the camp!

Classes are Monday through Thursday 8:00 am - 12:30 pm
$290.00 per student (includes horse, equipment, snack, & drink)
Please wear the required boots with a sturdy heel and long pants
