COLT STARTING

Colt Starting is so very important in a young horses life and folks take this time for granted. It shapes the whole life of a horse forever and always. You can fill in holes that were left by a poor start however those holes can get you killed when you find them. Meet Hondo. Started at a young horse clinic with Brent Graef. I've  worked hard to learn to be "with him" and not dominant and frighten him into submission. Hondo is an agreeable sort and should be easy to start.

Say Hello to Gus. Gus, the smallest of the three, is a sweet buckskin that is the 'sensitive' one. Some might say he frightens easily or is spooky. I would say he needs you to be a confident a sure rider that will help him should he become confused. Not make it worse with to much of any aid. Gus will be headed to Buster McLaury to be started today. He will be traveling with Hondo and Rio. We are thrilled to have such great horseman working with us.
